What is Energy Healing?

Energy healing works with both the physical body and the subtle energetic system.

When stress or emotional experiences accumulate, the body can hold patterns of tension while the nervous system remains in a state of heightened alert. At the same time, many traditions recognise that our life force energy, sometimes referred to as prana, qi, or vital energy, can become stagnant or depleted.

These sessions support the body in gently unwinding.

Through breath, somatic awareness, and intuitive energetic balancing, the nervous system is invited into a state of safety and rest. As the body softens, energy can move more freely and the system can reorganise itself naturally.

The process is subtle, calming, and deeply restorative.

Meet Your Practitioner:
     Emily Cavagnino

Emily is the heartbeat of The Calm Down and a practitioner of yoga, meditation, mindfulness coaching, and energy-based healing practices. With a background in psychology studies and years of experience guiding individuals and groups, her work integrates nervous system awareness, embodied practice, and intuitive energy work to support greater balance, clarity, and well-being.

What to expect within a session...

Sessions take place in a quiet and supportive environment at House of Soma in Coffs Harbour.

We begin with a short check-in to understand how you are feeling and what may support you most that day. Each session is intuitive and guided by the needs of your body in the moment.

Depending on the session, the experience may include:
• gentle somatic awareness
• breath-based relaxation
• intuitive energetic work
• nurturing bodywork or light touch (depending on the service)
• quiet space for integration

Many clients drift into a deeply relaxed state during the session. Others notice subtle sensations such as warmth, emotional release, or a sense of energetic movement. Afterwards, it is common to feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded.
